Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, has described Manchester United’s David De Gea as “a great goalkeeper”, but admits he does not know if he will sign for them this summer.
De Gea has been linked with a move back to Spain and there are reports that United manager, Jose Mourinho, might be willing to swap him for Madrid striker, Alvaro Morata.
But Perez has remained coy over this transfer business ahead of next season.
“Signings? If I told you all the names that have come out… we isolate ourselves from it because some [of the names] haven’t been said with good intentions. I insist, the players we have are the best.
“De Gea? He’s a great goalkeeper who plays for United, I don’t know where he’ll play next season because I’m not a fortune teller.
“Ramos? He’s been a true leader, he’s brought the players together, into a team that are completely united, [regardless of] those who play and those who don’t as much.
“There’s been a communion with the fans, and that has a lot to do with Ramos.
“He’s a true captain, he and Cristiano have let the team dream about everything. We have to thank [the players] and the captains,” Perez told Atresmedia.
