Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, is set to ring the changes for their Europe League opener against Cologne, after seven first-team stars missed training on Wednesday.
The Gunners take on the Bundesliga side at the Emirates, just three days before the trip to London rivals, Chelsea. And Wenger is clearly prioritising that one, with a host of big names sitting out Wednesday’s session.
Record signing Alexandre Lacazette was not involved, nor were Mesut Ozil, Petr Cech or Laurent Koscielny.
Danny Welbeck, who scored twice against Bournemouth, is also set to sit out along withAaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka.
Alexis Sanchez is expected to play some part, as is midfielder Jack Wilshere.
